Annandale Premier Cup Organizers announced that they will be utilizing "The Cure" soccer ball from Select for it’s Official Game Ball. "The Cure" Soccer Ball is in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

In 2011, there were more than 2.6 million breast cancer survivors in the US!!!

• Affects 1 in 8 Women
• Affects 1 in 1,000 Men
• 230,480 New Cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed in 2011-12
• 39,520 Women were expected to succumb to breast cancer in 2011-12
• Besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women - Just under 30%
• A Women’s risk of breast cancer is approximately double if she has a first-degree relative who has or had been diagnosed

This cause is very dear to me and my staff as my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 10 years ago. Most of your are unaware that the Annandale Premier Cup also gives a percentage of it’s proceeds to Cancer Research every year. Totaling over $40,000 from the last 3 years.

Tom Torres, DC United Pre-Academy Manager confirmed this morning that DC United will be sending their U13, U14 and U15 Academy Teams to D.C. United is excited to announce the Academy’s involvement in the Annandale Premier Cup in 2013. D.C. United will send 3 teams at the U13, 14 and 15 age groups to compete in one of the top 5 highest ranked youth tournaments in the country.  

Here is what Tom Torres had to say about DC United selecting the APC for his Academy Teams; 

"We are looking forward to competing in the Annandale Premier Cup, said Tom Torres, Academy U16 coach and Pre-Academy Manager. Scott Becker, APC Tournament Director has worked with us to make it an easy decision to stay local, play on turf fields and against some of the top teams in the country. We know it will be a great weekend for all of our players."

 Baltimore Bays have again determined that APC is the right move for their club in committing their U12-U17 teams to the Pretigious APC in March

 World Class FC has confirmed that APC is the place to be for their Highly Competitive U13-U18 Teams!!!

 Ohio Galaxy have confirmed that they will be sending their Stud U15, U16 and U17 Boys teams to APC in March!

Ohio Premier Eagles to bring their Highly Competitive Boys Teams to the APC for the 4th Consecutive year. This year, they will be sending their U11-U16 to include their U15 National League Boys Team.

FC Nova will be making their first trip to APC. They have committed U12-U16 teams. We are very excited to welcome a new addition to our growing family of clubs.
